The top image shows three cable routings. One has the camera power and data cables. The second is the USB cable to an Edgeport serial to USB converter. The third, on the DEC shaft, is the 12 volt power. The serial connection, to the RCOS TCC, uses the mount's internal wiring.

The second image is another view of the 12 volt power routing to a distribution bus.

The decision to not run cables through the mount was based on advise from probably the most experienced person at setting up observatories with consumer based equipment. I only removed Paramount screws that looked to go into threaded holes and did not have an internal nut. The mount's internal power lines have very low amp fuses and were not used.
